The largest group of tourists (more than 500,000 visitors) came from Finland. The number of tourists from Finland grew by 3% over the year, with the second-quarter number of same-day visitors being the highest in recent years
The most tourists from outside the European Union were the 58,000 from the United States and the 43,000 from the United Kingdom. The number of visitors from the United States was up by a third year-on-year
The number of overnight visits was approximately 746,000, which was 6% more than a year before. The average duration of such visits decreased to 3.2 nights
Same-day visits accounted for 41% of visits, and the number of such trips was up 9% over the year

Visits abroad by residents of Estonia to countries of the European Union grew by 1% in the second quarter compared to the same period last year and four of five trips were made there
The country visited most was Finland with 132,000 visits, followed by Latvia with 127,000. The number of visits both to Finland and Latvia was up 4% on the year
The country outside the European Union that received the most visits in the second quarter was Turkey, with 48,000. The number of trips to Turkey was up 10% over the year and higher than ever before
700,000, or 2% more overnight visits were made year-on-year and the duration of the average trip increased to 3.8 nights
The number of same-day visits abroad was the same as in the previous year and accounted for 16% of the total number of visits
